If a shell is inhabited, we leave it undisturbed, allowing it to serve its natural purpose. We only take empty shells, and even then, we return a large portion of our finds back to the ocean. Shells play a vital role in the marine ecosystem — offering shelter, supporting biodiversity, and helping maintain water quality. Taking more than we need goes against our values.
